Masterclass Programme

Each year we are delightfully inundated with new writing by young people from all over Ireland for the Wild Words anthology. This year was no different and all the Wild Words submissions are all now being read by our editor.

We are also delighted to announce that our Masterclass Programme this year features journlist and author Anna Carey and poet and performer Colm Keegan, both of whom we've worked with previously, with novelist Sarah Maria Griffin and playwright Tom Swift who we're delighted to welcome to Wild Words for the first time. As such our four masterclasses this year span four different areas that young people could consider as possible avenues for their writing.

While not every writer to make a submission can be included in the Wild Words anthology, in making a submission, if you haven't been selected, you can still avail of early-bird booking to attend the Masterclass programme for €30 (half the full cost of €60)

Limited tickets are also now available for any young person with an interest in creative writing that will be aged between 14 and 17 years on 30th June. The 2-day programme starts at 10am and finishes at 5.30pm each day. Tickets are €60 and can be booked through The Dock Arts Centre at the link below.

Wild Words is developed in partnership with Leitrim County Council, The Reading Room Bookshop and the Irish Writers Centre with the support of the Arts Council of Ireland
